The City Event Center has been in operation for 14 years. The Center also houses the local senior center. The facility is a meeting location for several small and large businesses and also provides space for weddings and other personal celebrations. Because of its central location within the state and on a major highway, it is a prime facility for annual seminars and workshops. Due to the availability of hotel accommodations, the facility is chosen for weddings and anniversaries. The facility can accommodate up to 500 guests. Because of the flexibility of the room set-up, the City Event Center has been an ideal location for corporations’ annual business seminars and appreciation events. The facility has been the weekly home of several church organizations. Again, because of the flexibility of the room set-up, funerals as well as baby showers are easily hosted within the facility.
