郭正雍 Cheng-Yung Kuo was born and raised in Taiwan. He received his Master of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Kuo has had three solo exhibitions at National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall-Tswei-heng Gallery and Pacific Cultural Foundation Art Center in Taipei, Taiwan, and at Photo-Four Gallery in Chicago. His works have been exhibited nationally and internationally, including: Museo Regionale di Scienze Naturali di Turino, Italy, Artspace 191 in Vienna, Austria, Bridge Art Fair 2009, New York, Chicago Asian American Showcase, The office of U.S. Senator, Barack Obama at Capitol Hill for Illinois, Lollapalooza’s Outdoor Art Gallery, Who Art Thou?, Chicago, The 10th Annual Chicago Art Open, Around the Coyote Winter Arts Festival, Chicago, China Pingyao International Photography Fest, Panopticon Gallery Boston, Regional Juried Exhibition, Lubeznik Center for the Arts, Michigan City. He now lives and works in Chicago.
International assignments:
• Photo-documentation of 1.99 Housing Project in Brazil.
• Invited by Hubei Province’s government and Hubei Students Union to photograph the city of Wuhan, China, 100 years after Xinhai Revolution as well as organized the exchange photography exhibition between China and United States.
