Mariachi Los Palmeros de Chicago was created by Ramiro and Gabriel Zamora in 1984. Since its creation, the group has had much success. Mariachi Los Palmeros has played for such artists including Felipe Arriaga, Maria Dolores del Rio, Federico Villa, and Joan Sebastian. In addition Mariachi Los Palmeros, opened for Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan and played for politicians including State Senator Martin Sandoval, who they composed a election "corrido", former Mayor Richard M. Daley, former President Ronald Regan and George Bush, Aldermen Tony Munoz and Danny Solis.
